DIGITAL MEDICINE AND PUBLIC HEALTH

Welcome to the website of our research group "Digital Medicine and Public Health”

Welcome to the Digital Medicine and Public Health Group

The Digital Medicine and Public Health Group is an interdisciplinary academic research group dedicated to advancing clinically grounded, data-informed approaches in dermatology and population health. Embedded in a university medical environment, the group operates at the intersection of dermatology, public health, digital medicine and technology, with a clear focus on medical relevance, scientific rigor, and sustainable academic structures. Our work is driven by the conviction that digital innovation can meaningfully strengthen clinical medicine—when it is evidence-based, ethically sound, and closely aligned with real-world healthcare needs.

Our Perspective

We pursue a research-driven approach that connects clinical dermatology, population-based and public health research, digital and data-based methodologies. Interdisciplinary collaboration is central to our work, enabling us to address complex medical questions that extend beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. Rather than focusing on isolated projects, we aim to develop coherent research lines that contribute to improved prevention, diagnosis, and care in dermatology and related fields.

Research, Teaching, and Collaboration

The group actively contributes to academic teaching and the training of early-career researchers and clinicians. Research-based teaching, critical thinking, and responsible use of digital methods are core elements of our academic mission. We welcome scientific exchange and collaboration with partners from academia, healthcare, and technology, both nationally and internationally.

Opportunities

We regularly offer opportunities for doctoral and master’s theses, postdoctoral projects, interdisciplinary internships to motivated students and researchers interested in dermatology, public health, and digital medicine. Details on our research, publications, projects, team members, and academic events can be found in the respective sections of this website.

We are always open to new ideas, collaborations, and dialogue.
