As a project funded by the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology the aim of SkinAddict is to examine the prevalence of selected addictions (alcohol, drug, food, gambling, internet, and tobacco) in people with chronic skin diseases. In the scope of the project a systematic review should be performed to identify studies that assess the association between chronic skin diseases and addictions. Further, a cross-sectional study using medical and online settings will be conducted to assess possible addictive behaviors among people with chronic skin diseases in Europe.
