Developing wearable bioelectronics devices for health monitoring
Current generation of commercialized health-related wearable gadgets competently demonstrate that in many applications, wearables can offer a very competitive level of accuracy and effectiveness in diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of diseases compared to their clinical counterparts. These devices are designed to benefit from pairing with other personal smart gadgets, top of the list cell phones, which enable them to collect a huge amount of personal medical data and extract health-related patterns, a milestone toward personalized medicine. This is specially not a far-fetched goal anymore, regarding the fact that thanks to the staggering computational power available to us in our pockets, machine learning algorithm can be run even on mobile devices.
