Chronic inflammatory skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, urticaria, and vitiligo are characterized by fluctuating disease activity and recurrent flares. However, these flares are difficult to predict, and treatment decisions are often based on single clinical assessments and patient-reported symptoms.
This project investigates whether continuously collected physiological data can provide new insights into disease activity in everyday life. Different parameters are analyzed in relation to clinical outcomes and patient-reported symptoms.
By linking objective, longitudinal data with disease progression, the study aims to identify early indicators of flare development. In the long term, this approach may support more proactive and personalized treatment strategies for people living with chronic skin diseases.
